One spin, one clear result
The wheel serves a different search and play need than the six-member team generator. It is useful for starter prompts, drawing a mascot, choosing a sketch subject, or settling a friendly challenge.
The animation does not change the random pool. Generation and type filters are applied first, then one eligible National Pokédex ID is selected and loaded from PokeAPI.
Use filters without shrinking to zero
Most type and generation combinations contain several choices, but a very narrow pool can be empty. When that happens, the wheel asks you to change a filter instead of silently falling back to an unrelated Pokémon.
Every spin is independent. The launch version does not keep history, weight favorites, or alter odds based on earlier results.
